Eligibility Requirements

ARE YOU?

• A resident of Lower Southampton Township?
• In the top 25% of your senior high school class?
• Enrolled in college/or secondary educational program for the 2010 - 2011 school year as a full time Freshman Student?

If so, you could be eligible for one of the $1000.00 scholarships awarded by the Feasterville Business Association in honor of Edward W. Langel.

     While academic achievement and community involvement are the primary criteria for the award, financial need, participation in school and community activities, and student goals will be considered where students are similarly qualified. Applications will be reviewed by the Edward W. Langel Scholarship Committee who will screen and interview qualified candidates and select the students to receive awards.

     The scholarship will be awarded personally by a representative of the scholarship committee at an appropriate ceremony. The award will be made payable jointly to the student and his or her school. If, after receiving the scholarship, the recipient does not pursue a course of study at the school, the tuition award will remain in the Edward W. Langel Memorial Scholarship Fund for use in subsequent years. If, in the opinion of the scholarship committee, no qualified applicant is available, no scholarship award will be made and the award money will remain in the scholarship fund.
