Sometimes we need to get our minds off business and the news to have a good time learning about an intersting subject and hobby. Area golfers are invited to tee it up for fun and prizes in the 23RD Annual Feasterville Business Association Golf Outing to be held at Talamore Country Club,723 Talamore Drive, Ambler, PA on Monday, July 15, it was announced by Mike Wielehowski, of Holland, PA, event chairperson. Registration and lunch will begin at 12 noon to be followed with a tee off at 1:30 p.m.

“Here’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a fun-filled day of golf on a terrific course, fine food and spirits, door and team tournament prizes and with a full share of camaraderie,” Wielehowski states. This year’s tournament will benefit a group of area communal and charitable endeavors plus the FBA’s annual college scholarship fund and Easter egg hunt.

This is the third time the fund-raising event is being held at Talamore Country Club, one of the area’s finest private golf courses and banquet facilities. The competition will begin with a shotgun start and will follow a four-person best ball scramble format. Cost for individual golfers will be $150 and includes 18 holes of golf, cart, lunch and refreshments, cash bar, banquet dinner, team and door prizes and a special gift for all participants.

In addition, business sponsorships are available beginning at $100 for a hole sponsor and ranging to $1000 for the awards and dinner sponsorship.

This month, Weyerbacher Brewery of Easton PA will be presenting a selection of Fall seasonal beers.  Known as one of the countries best and most creative breweries, Weyrbacher produces such unique brews as Blasphemy, Heresy, Insanity and Blithering Idiots, Featured this evening will be their special Imperial Pumpkin Ale and Autumn Fest Ale, picked as No. 1 by Paste Magazine.  An evening not to be missed.

The event is sponsored by Staples on Street Road in Feasterville and the Feasterville Business Association.  Proof of residence or business address may be required.  There will be a cost of $12.50 per box over 10 pounds.  Items must be carried in to the Staples located on Street Rd in Feasterville where they will be placed in a secure bin for shredding.

As a reference, 10 pounds is about 1,000 sheets of paper.  A full file box could weigh 40-50 pounds.
